Australia Skills Assessment Update: February, 2020

Australia has recently announced updates on different Skills Assessment authorities.

APC Australian Physiotherapy Council

New fees criteria applies to all the services: https://physiocouncil.com.au/overseas-practitioners/fees/

AACA – Architects Accreditation Council of Australia

New application guidelines are available from Jan 2020. You can access the new guidelines here: https://www.aaca.org.au/wp-content/uploads/Overseas-Qualification-Assessment-Stage1-and-Stage2-Combined-Guide.pdf

AMSA – Australian Maritime Safety Association

According to the recent changes in the definition of ANZSCO, AMSA is the assessing authority for following occupations:

–       231213 Ship s Master

–       231212 Ship’s Engineer

–       231214 Ship’s Officer

AIMS – Australian Institute of Medical Scientists

New guidelines for the skills assessment applicable for the occupation 311216 Pathology Collector. You can access the new guidelines here: https://www.aims.org.au/documents/item/246

AIM – Institute of Managers and Leaders

New skills assessment application form is now available here: https://www.aiqs.com.au/imis/AIQS_Website/Migration/Assessment_Fees/AIQS_Website/Public/Skilled_Migration_Assessment/Assessment_Fees.aspx

AIQS – Australian Institute of Quantity surveyor

AOAC – Australasian Osteopathic Accreditation Council

CAANZ – Chartered Accountants Australian and New Zealand

There have been recent updates to ANZSCO. Revised criteria for some VETASSESS occupations apply from 7 January 2020. Any reviews and reassessments lodged after 7 January 2020 will be assessed based on new ANZSCO skill levels and specialisations.
